You will enter through a private gate at 2815 S 48th Street west. Use gate code 39701 to enter and follow the orange cones back to the parking area. Please DRIVE SLOW. The arena is 3 miles from Billings Shiloh Crossing where you can choose from numerous restaurants and retail shopping. There will also be dock diving going on Saturday and Sunday. \n\nDocuments:\nBarn Hunt Sanctioning Information \nPremium \n\n \n\n\n Online Entry is closed. Please enter at the trial site (see “Trial Counts” section above for latest status on available entries)! *You must enter on a prior day or at the very latest\, by 8:30am on the day of the trial.* \n\n \nWelcome Letter \nRunning Order will be available at the trial. Entry counts\, schedule\, and class order will be listed in the Welcome Letter. \n\nHow Does The Waitlist Work?\n \nIf a day fills and additional entries are received\, we’ll take those entries on “waitlist status”. If someone pulls from the trial before pre-entry closing\, they will receive a refund (minus any transaction fees) and if there is someone on the wait-list they will move into that spot. If someone pulls from the trial after pre-entry closing and there is another dog we can move in from the waitlist\, the person pulling will receive a refund (minus a $5 processing fee per day) and the dog from the waitlist will move into the trial for the runs that became available. We will maintain a waitlist until five days before the start of the trial\, after which any entries left on the waitlist will be shredded. Entries that are shredded when the waitlist closes will be refunded before the start of the event. \nIn order to be added to the waitlist you MUST SUBMIT AN ENTRY FORM and PAY IN FULL. You will receive confirmation of your entry that states your entries are “WAITLISTED”. Please keep an eye on your email as your status can change quickly! \nCheck back to this page to see if there are entries available late/day-of. You can also stop by the event and ask. Things can change last minute! \nBut What Time Will My Class Start? \nWe get a lot of questions on “when will my class start” for trials. I cannot give out times other than the start of the first class of the day. However\, here is a way for you to estimate when your class MAY start running: \n\n\n\n\n\nMy welcome letters give entry counts as of the pre-entry closing along with the order the classes will run.\nHere’s what BHA estimates time-wise for each run:\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nMultiply out the estimated judging time per run x the entries in each class to get a rough estimate. However\, please note that this doesn’t include absent dogs\, move-ups\, day-of-show/late entries\, etc. And runs don’t always last the “estimated” judging time per run. There are no refunds/credits/moves for missed runs. Calculate at your own risk!\n\n\nWorkshops & Private Lessons\nAll registrations are non-refundable. \n\nBuilding Drive & Indications………………….$60/dog (and one person)\n($75 if you register after Wednesday Sept 4.) \nThursday Sept 5 from 5:00-7:00pm \n\n\n\n\nThis clinic is designed for all levels of handlers who are having issues getting their dog to hunt with enthusiasm and/or are unable to read their dog’s indications. At the end of this clinic you will have a dog that hunts and indicates better as well as a plan to continue improving drive and indications! \nTopics include: \n* How did you get here? \n* Building drive and enthusiasm \n* Why you don’t want the indication you think you want. \n* Exercises to build drive and indication. \nAll runs will have coaching during and group debriefing afterwards. You will experience working in the ring to understand what other dogs are doing and why. \n*Discounted rate for additional dogs with the same handler may be available at $30 per additional dog depending on how many dogs register. Register your first dog and contact us to get on the waitlist for additional dogs. Must have the same handler. \n\nUpper Level Skills & Drills………………….$60/dog (and one person)\n($75 if you register after Wednesday Sept 4.) \nThursday Sept 5 from 7:00-9:00pm \n\n\n\n\nThis clinic is a hands-on clinic that will be run focused on master level competition\, but is open to all levels of handlers.  Even Novice handlers will greatly benefit – this may be your first chance to discover how your dog indicates he or she is done working. \nTopics include: \n* Reading your dog’s cues and indications \n* Reading your clears \n* Difficult and variable hides \n* Course management \n* Creating drive \n* Understanding scent plumes and movement \n* Dog-handler team building \n* Tube removal strategies \nYou will have at least three runs during the clinic. All runs will have coaching during and group debriefing after. If time permits\, Crazy 8’s will be run at the end of the class. \n*Discounted rate for additional dogs with the same handler may be available at $30 per additional dog depending on how many dogs register. Register your first dog and contact us to get on the waitlist for additional dogs. Mr. Fisher has been instrumental in the advanced training of Barn Hunt dogs competing at the national level\, and dogs he trained have taken medals at BHA Nationals since 2015. In 2016 at the BHA National his dog Ginger won the Grand National and Versatility Championship making her the first dog to have Gold medaled in all three National disciplines. Lucy\, his eleven year old Aussie\, is the third highest ranked Aussie with her RATCHX10. Scout\, also an Aussie\, was the youngest dog ever to attain his Master title – at under 10 months old! He now has his RATCHX7. Cody (Aussie) has his CZ8P5B and RATCHX4. \nJen Giacchi is a BHA judge and competes with Dottie\, a Danish Swedish Farmdog\, who just earned her RATCHX22.
